For over 34 years, DGP OP Singh has dedicated his life to public service. Known for his clarity of thought and consistency in action, he is a reformer, strategist, communicator, and field officer—still actively shaping the institutions he serves.

  • Narcotics enforcement and criminal intelligence modernization

Career Highlights:

  • Served as District SP, Range IG, and Commissioner of Police, with a track record of decisive and just leadership—including securing a life sentence in the Nikita Tomar murder case in just three months.
  • As Deputy Director, Enforcement Directorate, played a key role in framing and implementing the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
  • Appointed as the first IPS officer to serve as Special Officer to the Chief Minister of Haryana, providing strategic input on governance and internal security.

As Director of Sports, Haryana (2008–2012), OP Singh led one of India’s most remarkable state-level transformations through his visionary Play for India program.
